Main Sessions
Keith Cowart, CCC Lead Pastor

Thursday, February 26, 9-10:30 a.m.
Main Session 1: The Leader as Cultural Architect
What is the essential work of a leader? Surely it is more than managing a calendar and pulling off events. From creation, God’s heart has always been to have a people and a community that become a living witness to the truth and power of His kingdom. The role of a leader, then, is to influence and shape the culture of a faith community in ways that enable it to live out its values and realize its mission.

Thursday, February 26, 1:30-3 p.m.
Main Session 2: Building a Culture of Spiritual Vitality
If Christ is the head of His church and His greatest command is to “love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength,” then the greatest responsibility of a church leader is to cultivate an environment in which God is truly exalted and His Spirit is free to direct and empower every aspect of the faith community’s life.

Thursday, February 26, 7-9 p.m.
Main Session 3: Building a Culture of Authentic Relationships
We all know how unhealthy the church can be. This is particularly tragic in light of the fact that loving one another is our Lord’s second commandment and perhaps our greatest witness to a watching world. In this session, we will explore how leaders set the tone for congregational unity and relational health.

Friday, February 27, 9-10:30 a.m.
Main Session 4: Building a Culture of Leadership Development
The greatest measure of a leader’s success is not how much he or she gets done, but how many people are being empowered to multiply his or her influence. With the understanding that leadership development is a form of discipleship, we will consider ways to develop a leadership path that impacts every ministry system in the church.

Friday, February 27, 1:30-3 p.m.
Main Session 5: Building a Culture of Rich Generosity
A culture of generosity is based on the belief that God’s people are abundantly blessed in order to abound in good works (2 Corinthians 9:8). A leader who is convinced of this truth models it in his own life. He or she also regularly casts vision for it that will lay the foundation for a generous culture which is much more powerful than a fund-raising or hole-filling approach to stewardship.

Friday, February 27, 7-9 p.m.
Main Session 6: Building a Culture of Kingdom Orientation
The church exists to be a living witness to the Kingdom of God on earth. That’s why the church is never more alive than when it is living for something bigger than itself – and never sicker than when it is consumed with its own needs. It is the heart and vision of a leader that sets the course toward one condition or the other.
