Frequently Asked Questions

If I am not on a church staff, is this conference for me?
Yes! The church leadership conference expounds on biblical leadership principles that can be used by church staff, church lay leaders, volunteers, community leaders, business leaders and even parents. The conference also features meaningful worship times and networking experiences.

Can I come without my senior pastor?
Yes, but we want your senior pastor to come as well! This conference is helpful and applicable for individuals, but it is especially effective when entire teams come together. Encourage your church to give your staff two days away from the office to grow together as spiritual leaders. Think of it as a “working retreat.”

Can I get continuing education credit if I attend?
Quite possibly! For those from the United Methodist Church, Led to Lead is approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credits. If you are from another denomination, contact your superintendent or administrator to discuss. Download credit form here.

Is this conference just for large churches?
Absolutely not! This conference is for churches of any size and any denomination (or non-denomination), and we stand by that. Christ Community was a church plant more than 15 years ago, so we know what it’s like to come from a small beginning. We don’t think “bigger is better” –  we are here to encourage the BODY of Christ and that includes your church – no matter the size or denomination.

I came to Led to Lead last year. Is there anything new this year?
Yes! Although our central message of spiritual leadership and culture remains the same, we are always learning and growing. So, this year, we are incorporating an additional main session and several new exciting breakout sessions, including one on racial diversity and another on conflict resolution.

Why is there a long break in the day from 4:30 to 7 p.m.?
We purposely put this break in the day so that you and/or your team can enjoy dinner together and have time to process the day’s material. We know what it is like to go to a conference and feel overwhelmed, then not have time to process the content and write diwn action steps while it’s still fresh in your mind. We want you to have this opportunity. But don’t miss the 7-9 p.m. session – it will feature a longer worship experience and an awesome gathering time! Last year’s Thursday night session, for example, included attendees from churches around the Chattahoochee Valley singing “You’re the God of this City” in a great spirit of unity.

What kind of food are you serving?
We will have light breakfast items on both Thursday and Friday mornings, as well as a hot lunch each day. Thursday’s lunch will be catered by Christ Community’s Café 2:42 and Friday’s lunch will be catered by Chick-fil-A. The cost of these breakfast items and lunches is included in your registration. We will make every effort to accommodate any dietary restrictions, but please advise us of those when you register.

What can I expect?
Based on our feedback from last year, you can expect two days of powerful messages with “big picture ideas” and “practical application. You can expect breakout sessions led by real people who live the culture they talk about. You can expect lively worship with a diverse flair. And you can pray with us, expecting the presence of the Holy Spirit as we meet together desiring to be Led to Lead!
